Professional Sports Authenticator is the most widely recognized grading company in collecting. PSA grades on a 1–10 scale, evaluating centering, corners, edges, and surface. A PSA 10 (Gem Mint) is near-perfect; a PSA 9 (Mint) shows only the slightest imperfection, often invisible without close inspection. Every PSA slab carries a unique cert number printed on the label, which you can verify directly on PSA's website — before or after you buy.
TAG (Technical Authentication & Grading) uses automated, computer-vision-based grading rather than human eyes alone, producing a detailed subgrade report for every card. TAG also grades on a 1–10 scale, with TAG 10 representing gem mint condition.
